UNDER the atmosphere of mixed joy and pain after four years of tedious revisions of thousands of ballots, the Senate Electoral Tribunal (SET) on Thursday afternoon finally proclaimed Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel 3rd as the 12th winning senatorial candidate in the May 14, 2007 national and local elections.In a small function room at Sofitel Hotel in Pasay City (Metro Manila), Pimentel’s proclamation was witnessed by few relatives and close friends like his wife Jewel, mother Lourdes, father and former Sen. Aquilino “Nene” Pimentel Jr., his son Martin Emmanuel and PDP-Laban partymate and Vice President Jejomar Binay.
