Nita Negrita aired on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2011, is deemed controversial due it's racial and ethnic stereotyping of Filipinos with dark skin. The lead actress Barbie Forteza dons blackface. Her fair complexion is painted black to portray the role of an orphaned Amerasian girl.
