AFP DOES NOT SEE THREATS TO VISITING US WARSHIPS

A Philippine military spokesman doubted that the presence of the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier, which dumped the remains of Osama Bin Laden into the sea, would attract retaliation from sympathizers of the late internationally wanted Islamic extremist leader.

“I don’t think that will happen,” the Armed Forces of the Philippines spokesman, Commodore Miguel Rodriguez said.
